到底IELTS雅思寫作要怎樣才能拿高分呢?
來看看這個IELTS雅思的官方評分標準，雅思考官批改作文時會以下面的四項來評分：
· 文章完成度 (Task Achievement)
· 連貫與銜接 (Coherence and Cohesion)
· 詞彙變換、句式多樣性 (Lexical Resource)
· 文法準確性 (Grammatical range and Accuracy)。
(這四項所占的分數比重相同)
在準備的過程中，例如 詞彙、文法的確是需要一些時間累積功力才能得心應手，但是其中的Coherence and Cohesion (圈起來的地方)，只要你掌握到技巧，也可以在短時間內拉高分數。

Source: 很多人抱著字典死背單字或文法，但是卻忽略掉了文章連貫與銜接 (Coherence and Cohesion) 的重要性。從這裡可以看到，若想要在Coherence and Cohesion 的部份拿高分 (7~9)，要注意句子是否連貫與銜接得宜。
可能大家看了還是一頭霧水，這邊舉幾個很簡單的例子來說明 :
例子一 :
I like dancing. I had a pair of dance shoes. My dance shoes were exquisite and expensive. I stopped going to dance lessons.
這段例子中，所有的句子都圍繞著dance (跳舞)。從喜歡跳舞講到舞鞋……跳舞課。 你知道主題都很緊密的圍繞在跳舞，但是讀起來仍搞不清楚它到底想說什麼?
例子二 :
I like dancing. I had a pair of dance shoes. I practiced very hard. My shoes were worn out. I need new dance shoes so I can have lessons again.
這一段如果你認真猜，應該知道它要表達的意思。但是整體讀起來斷句斷的很嚴重，更說不上流暢。
Coherence and Cohesion 的寫法應該是 :
I like dancing and I had a pair of custom-made dance shoes that were really exquisite but also quite expensive. Since I practised a lot, my shoes were worn out as a result. Therefore, I need a new pair of dance shoes before I can continue with my dance lessons again.
這段圍繞著一個主題 (dance)，也有條理的清楚的告訴你發生了甚麼事。這樣的句子才算有達到 Coherence and Cohesion。
通常長一點的文章，有前後文的餔陳，所以讀者多少都能看出你想要表達的意思。但是考這種短短的essay時就要多加注意 Coherence and Cohesion。
在IELTS雅思作文項目拿高分不是難事。其實文章中不需要用很多艱澀的文法或單字，只要文章內容明瞭，適時地使用幾個有深度且合宜的字，然後檢查句子的順序安排以及連接度，評分表中甚至指出，儘管文章中有些 rare minor errors ...... "slips" (少數的小出槌) ，還是有可能拿９分的。
